Faith

My Religious Journey

As a writer, I don’t just use words to describe what I see; I create stories and scenes that take the reader somewhere new and unexpected.  As a Christian, I am called to share that gift with the world to further the kingdom of Christ. Sharing boldly my salvation with others.

My Story:

My dad was a pastor from the time I was born until I was 13 years old when he decided to lead a small home bible study instead. I became a Christian when I was 4 years old and I vividly remember the experience. Praying with my mom feeling condemned by my sins. Some people don’t believe 4 years old can understand the gospel but I do and did. As I got older of course my faith, my theology, and my understanding of the Bible grew. When I was in kindergarten I was on fire for the lord and evangelized frequently. Unfortunately, as I went through grade school (secondary and primary)  that fire diminished as I grew apart from the lord and uninterested. Then in high school (9th-12th), I made new friends joined a bible study, and went to the evangelical camps. In 2020 I graduated high school and decided to change up my life a bit since the pandemic, finding a new church that would fit my needs. I met a great new group of friends and family at this new church I now attend. It has been great to be a part of the youth leadership and because it’s so small everyone in the church is heavily involved. We have so many weekly bible studies and outreach groups. It would be a lot for most people to handle but as an extrovert I love it. I have always been a Christian and I was your typical Pastor’s Kid but have loved finding my own path and strengths through God!

Though most of my works are freelance and not Christianity-related I hope through the next couple of years I can write more boldly about my faith and share my journeys on the blog side of my website.

Faith: Welcome

In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory.

Ephesians 1:13-14
